AN INDEPENDENCE DAY VISIT TO AFGHANISTAN

Your host is privileged to know several of our fine young people who are serving our country. One of them serves in the band of the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan, and below are a couple of pictures of him and some of his comrades engaged in some definitely non-combat related activities.

The war goes on and military duties must still be performed. Below is our friend, who is the trombone player in the picture above, in another setting.

And of course, when their schedules permit, they relax in the local DQ/Orange Julius. Notice the snow-capped mountains in the background.

Let’s all, during these Independence Day holidays, pause to remember our warriors overseas,

and hope and pray for their safe return. We will always be in the debt of these men and women.
